Compari – XML Feed

In order to be able to import products into our search engine, it is necessary to have a so-called XML file or csv file (feed) created. It is a simple data format that you can use to provide us with information about products and their prices. The feed is automatically generated from your site, so consult your webmaster about its creation or modification.

We download your feed every day at 16:00, the update of the given products is displayed the following day. If you need earlier updates, we recommend the premium package.

Required fields
IdentifierThe unique product identifier used by the online store. Its value remains unchanged.
ManufacturerName of the product manufacturer. Optionally, it can also be entered at the beginning of the product name in the “Name” field.Example: Sony
NameProduct name. Beginning with a capital letter, the use of capital letters in other places is allowed only in justified cases (e.g. abbreviation). The name must contain the full name. On the contrary, it must not contain advertising.Example: Cyber-shot DSC-H10If you cannot enter the manufacturer’s name in a separate field, enter it here before the product name.Example: Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H10

ProductUrlLink (URL) to the product page.Example: http://www.example.com/products.php?id=45884
PriceThe price of the product for the end user (price including VAT and other taxes that the consumer must pay for the given product). The price of the minimum quantity that can be ordered is shown on the product page.
Other recommended fields
ProductNumberProduct code provided by the manufacturer.ProductNumber must be listed in the feed in the case of electronics, IT, home goods and in those categories in which processing is based on the product code.We only accept product codes used by the manufacturer.

MaxCPCMultiplierProduct max bid multiplier. With its help, you can determine the multiplication of the list price. That is the cost per click of the recommended position that you are willing to pay compared to the base price of the category.Bid values listed in the feed are accepted by the Compari.ro system if they meet the following conditions:”BIDx” is inserted before the bid multiplier.The bid multiplier value is a number between 1.5 and 100.0.The bid multiplier value contains a maximum of one decimal place.Correct formats: “BIDx1.5”; “BIDx1.5”; “BIDx2”; “BIDx9.4”.Invalid formats: “1.5”; “BID:1.5″;”BIDx1.55”.We take into account the multiplier of the product’s maximum offer only in the case of products that we display on Compari.If an offer multiplier is set for a product both in the store administration and in the feed, the system will take into account the offer in the store administration.

DeliveryTimeProduct delivery time. The given product will be delivered within this number of working days from the date of placing the order. DescriptionProduct description that includes important parameters. So that customers can get accurate information.
ImageUrlLink (URL) to product photo. If an image is available in multiple sizes, it is advisable to provide a link in the best quality. The minimum size we can display is 150 × 150 pixels. Please provide the actual product image. An image that only contains the information “Uploading soon” or a company logo is considered invalid.Example: http://www.example.com/images/45884.jpg
ImageUrl2Link (URL) to product photo if you have multiple images.Example: http://www.example.com/images/45885.jpg
ColorThe dominant color of the product. The field is only used in the fashion category.Please enter only one color for the product. If the product has multiple color variants, enter the product in the feed with a unique identifier and name as many times as it is available in different colors.We can only accept the color if the product color in the attached image matches the color listed in this box. Please do not use the same product image for each version.
SizeProduct size. The field is only used in the Fashion category.Please enter only one size for the product. If a product has multiple sizes, enter the product in the feed with a unique identifier and name as many times as it is available in different sizes.Our system can only interpret EU and International (S/M/L) sizes, we cannot accept other sizes.
GroupIdA grouping of products that are included in the product feed multiple times. Variation may be due to color, size, pattern, or other product characteristics (e.g. memory size).
AttributesA field suitable for transferring product properties. Products sent with parameters are automatically filtered in categories. In the case of a feed in CSV format, the content between the Attributes tags in the example can be placed in the Attributes column of the CSV. In that case, the opening and closing Attributes tags are not needed in the example. The example at the bottom of the page will help to illustrate.For characteristic values of the product, always state the unit of measurement.

Special category

We require different information and tags for the following special categories: DVDs, Books, Tires and Perfumes.

Requirements for the Mobile phones category

We can only display prices for products that are independent of SIM card or service provider and include complete accessories (box, charger, etc.).

Requirements in the DVD FILM category

The order of individual parameters can change, but the manufacturer should preferably be listed either separately or at the beginning of the product name.

Requirements in the Alloy wheel category

The order of individual parameters can change, but the order within parameters cannot. We cannot accept the 6.5 × 15 version for the diameter and width of the rim. The manufacturer should be listed either separately or at the beginning of the product name.

Requirements of the PERFUME category

For sellers using the Árukereső Marketplace to display offers of combined products in certain categories, in addition to the name used by the manufacturer, the presence of a color is required (for example: ‘Huawei P20 lite 64GB DUAL SIM Night Black’, ‘JBL T110 Headphones, White’, ‘Nikon Coolpix B500 (purple)’). Unfortunately, it is not possible to mark the color with the “Color” tag in this case, as it can only be used in the fashion category for technical reasons.

WeightGross product weight, weight calculated with basic accessories and packaging. In addition to the weight of the product, it is mandatory to indicate the unit of measurement, which can be kg or g.Correct formats: 2 kg; 1000 g.Invalid formats: 2; 1000 grams.
DeliveryCostByProductThe cost of delivery of a given product is calculated based on the number of identical items in the cart.Entering this tag is optional and its default value is 0. The delivery fee is calculated according to the delivery fee table from the store administration.Please fill it in the feed as follows:1 ⇒ Determines which products are subject to a delivery fee based on the number of products in the cart.0 ⇒ It does not matter how many products are placed in the cart. Shipping costs will be charged only once.

File formats

The above data can be sent in CSV/TSV or XML format.

Using CSV/TSV format

You can use commas, semicolons, tabs for filling. The first line should contain the name of the fields, the other lines should contain data about the given product. A delimiter character in a data field can only appear if the field is enclosed in quotation marks. In such cases, the quotes should be “escaped”. Our system also supports doubling (“”xy””) and backslash (“xy”) as solutions. Similarly to CSV, you can change tabs in data fields to “space” in TSV. This is why TSV is easier to use in practice. For example, the “fputcsv” function of the PHP programming language works as described above.

Using the XML format

You can also create a feed in XML format, in which all products must be contained in <products> and </products> tags, and information about a specific product must be grouped in <product> and </product> tags.
